Malta strike GOLD – A great success for local basketball

The Malta women basketball national team struck GOLD in the Small Nations Games in San Marino after edging Luxembourg 52-50 in a thrilling FINAL encounter at the Multi Domus Centre in Serravalle.

led by coach Angela Adamoli’, the local girls produced a spirited performance which saw them come back from 11 points down to go on and make it a perfect three wins in a row in the competition.

This was Malta’s third triumph in the Small Nations Games after they had won the gold medal in 2003 in Malta and the 2009 edition held in Cyprus.
