FIBA Under 18 European Championships Div C: Malta boys make it three wins in a row and move to the semis whilst the Malta girls chalk up a tight win to get closer to the podium
The respective FIBA Under 18 European Championships Division C continued in Malta and Cyprus with the third day of competition.
In Cyprus, the Maltese boys added to the opening day wins over San Marino and Gibraltar by registering their third win in Group B by beating ,the then unbeaten, Moldova 76-69.

In the semifinals, to be played on Saturday, Malta will play the hosting nation Cyprus at 7.30pm (Malta time) whilst Group A winners Norway will face Moldova in an earlier semifinal.

The Malta girls had to fight hard till the very last rubber to register a minimal margin win over Kosovo, 38-37 after a low scoring affair at the National Sport School Gym in Pembroke.
This was Malta’s second win in 3 days after beating Gibraltar on the opening day and losing against Armenia.
